Mediamerge was initially focused on video production. We specialised in creating educational resources, filming real lessons across the UK to support teacher training and development. This work taught me how to sell effectively through email marketing, YoiuTube, where we have had over 2.5m views to date, all resulting in sales to over 3,000 schools, two-thirds of the UK’s teacher training universities, and even Ofsted itself.

Today, our video-based resources are available on a subscription and licensing model through videolearning.co.uk, making professional development accessible to educators nationwide.

As our skills developed, so did the business. We expanded our services to offer a full range of marketing support, from content strategy and copywriting to social media management, email campaigns, and video production for a diverse range of clients.

IAMTech

360 Marketing & Content Creation

Overview

At IAMTech, I delivered 360° marketing for industrial software, turning complex technical content into clear, persuasive stories. I created thought leadership pieces, customer videos, and led a complete website revamp to boost conversions.

I designed multi-channel marketing funnels spanning email, exhibitions, PPC, and branded stands, and managed the company newsletter.

I also launched IAMTech Americas, including a US-specific website, new branding, local social channels, and targeted campaigns to support expansion into North America.

Brand Launch: IAMTech Americas

Launching IAMTech Americas was a key strategic project focused on expanding into the North American market. I led the marketing work to ensure the new sub-brand had a clear, professional, and locally relevant presence.

  • US-Specific Website: I created a dedicated website tailored to the US audience, writing all the copy to clearly communicate the value of IAMTech’s products for the North American market.

  • Branding: I developed a US-specific logo to give IAMTech Americas its own distinct but consistent identity. This was applied across our IAMTech Americas social channels on LinkedIn, Meta, and X to establish a credible and engaging local presence.

  • Events & Sales Support: I organised industry events for our US lead consultant, ensuring we had the right sales collateral to support in-person outreach and relationship building.

  • Campaigns: I ran targeted email and PPC campaigns to generate awareness, nurture leads, and support sales conversations in the US market.

This brand launch was all about adapting IAMTech’s message and marketing approach to a new region while maintaining the company’s core values and strengths.

Writing & Content Creation at IAMTech

At IAMTech, I focused on transforming technical expertise into clear, valuable content that delivered real marketing results.

I created industry-specific blogs tailored to the needs of our audience, and worked closely with leading consultants in the oil and gas sector to develop whitepapers used as lead magnets. These whitepapers helped us build opt-in email lists, with automated follow-up sequences linked to HubSpot CRM. This approach improved lead quality and reduced acquisition costs.

I also produced press releases, coordinated closely with clients, and developed detailed case studies for IAMTech’s blue-chip customers, including Shell, BP, UPM, and many more.

My writing was featured in global industry publications such as Data Center Dynamics. I then repurposed that article into a video that remains the top result on Google for its topic, maximising reach and value across channels.

Aluminati

360 Marketing & Content Creation

Overview

At Aluminati, I led the company’s rebrand and introduced a new bulk email system that boosted enquiries from private schools and the further education sector. I launched the first company newsletter, quickly growing the opt-in list to over 2,000 subscribers.

Together with internal teams and external experts I develop white papers as lead magnets, and produced videos and print sales collateral to showcase our SAAS product, Aluminate, an alumni management platform. I also managed social media activity to strengthen brand.

As an external video marketing strategist and producer, I have created product videos to drive sales and social media videos to boost awareness and engagement.

 

Brand & Content Strategy: Aluminati Network Group

My work with Aluminati focused on elevating brand positioning and strengthening sales enablement through clear, consistent, and persuasive content.

Video Content Strategy: I designed and implemented a video content plan to showcase the features and benefits of Aluminati’s SaaS products. This included product walkthroughs and explainer videos aimed at building trust and driving engagement among potential clients.

Case Study Library: I created and managed a library of customer case studies covering the full range of services and sectors. This provided the sales team with ready-to-use, persuasive assets for both inbound and outbound marketing.

Email Marketing: I established Aluminati’s first company newsletter, growing the opt-in list from zero to over 2,000 subscribers. Campaigns delivered regular updates, industry insights, and promotional content to nurture leads and drive conversions.

Quality & Consistency: I led QA reviews of all marketing materials to ensure brand consistency, tone, and messaging across channels. This included close collaboration with sales teams to refine pain-point messaging and ensure that all content addressed real customer needs.

I created a sales funnel for this independent financial advisor that resulted in claims of £773,959 over a 13 month period.

I achieved these results by identifying the audiences most likely to be in need of Greg’s services, then creating a website that focused on the key services and concerns they had.

Firstly, after carefully researching the subject and taking the time to understand it, I wrote the website copy in plain English to maximise conversion. Secondly, I included a video to simply explain the complex world of financial mis-selling in a way that visitors could relate to, and finally, included a quick test to allow them to quickly see if they might be affected.

I built trust by setting up a Trustpilot account for customer feedback and added a reviews widget to the pension-claims website that is automatically updated.

With this in place, I created targeted campaigns that led to a consistent stream of high quality leads and a dramatic increase in turnover.

The North Cambridge Community Partnership is funded by the Cambridge City Council and represents over 12,000 local households in North Cambridge. As a new organisations created through a merger, the charity needed a fresh image that reflected  the organisations community focus and values.

Anyone who knows me is familiar with my passion for charity and fundraising, and this was a great opportunity for me to make a real difference for the most deprived ward in Cambridge. As well as helping with the launch, I actively represent the charity as chair, speaking on radio and to newspapers about the organisation.

Creating truly cinematic experience on a small budget is a challenge. Fortunately I’m the kind of guy who loves a big challenge, and I when I was asked to create an advert that would show the impact of a major disaster and how this risk could be mitigated with software, I got to work.​

The CEO of Alert Disaster Control knows big scale. He explained that if an oil fire broke out in Kuwait, they would charter a Russian Antonov 124 cargo plane, pack it full of the latest firefighting equipment, and fly from their base in Singapore to tackle the blaze. ​

The software they sell, iResponse, simulates the impact of major disaster scenarios, and allows oil and gas companies to predict, prepare for, and respond to these events. I created a 60 second advert as proof of concept, and was then contracted to create a longer promotional video and 12 product feature videos. These videos are used to sell the software to major global companies.

Video Production

Video was my first love, and today remains my passion. It is lucky for me that video has become the most popular and effective ways of marketing, communicating ideas and driving site traffic. I have produced videos for a wide number of clients including the BBC and Cambridge University, and also successfully produced and sold video based training to thousands of UK and global clients.
